Careers guidance educators working in Ipswich secondary schools can claim a FREE place at an exciting corporate-led CPD event this month.

There are only six places left and it’s entirely free of charge – participating schools can even claim a contribution of £80 towards the cost of cover for one teacher per school.

On Friday 18th October, the Wolsey 550 Project and UK Top 50 law firm, Birketts LLP join forces to deliver a ground-breaking CPD session covering:

  • Personal branding – how students connect with a target employer and stand apart from their competition

  • Commercial awareness – how is working in the corporate sector different to working in other sectors?

  • How to apply – preparing your students for gaining work experience and securing jobs in the legal sector from a Early Careers  perspective.

  • The broad range of opportunities currently available in the legal sector.

Participants will receive a digital pack of resources to help them put what they’ve learned into action.

Education and Opportunities Lead with Wolsey 550, Hannah Houghton:

“This session is particularly suitable for Careers Leads in secondary and further education.  The training will be applicable across a range of career sectors, not just law.  We have designed content to be adaptable for any Key Stage (KS2+) or transition in a young person’s educational journey.

We’re incredibly grateful to Birketts LLP for offering to run this unique event and I’m expecting it to be oversubscribed.”

The event is open to secondary school staff working at schools based within the borough boundary of Ipswich.
